The availability of quality education within the community is something that the City of Sayre is extremly proud of, with a wide range of educational resources available for residents.

Sayre Public Schools
Sayre Public Schools maintains a K-12 education system of the highest standard, providing students with the state of the art facilties necessary in the pursuit of excellence. Sayre Public Schools are committed to developing lifelong learners, and to this end even enables students to take advanced placement courses to further their goals. Additionally, Sayre Public Schools baosts tremendous sporting facilities, including a 4000 capacity football field, baseball and softball fields, and a 1200 sear gymnasium that was completed in 2002.

The Sayre Public School system covers a 600 square mile area, and is comprised of approximately 700 students, an abundant amount of community involvment, and a dedicated staff that supports the motto of Sayre Schools, “Serving Students for the Future”.

SWOSU at Sayre
Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Sayre is approximately 125 miles west of Oklahoma City and 60 miles west of the SWOSU main campus in Weatherford.  Southwestern's campus at Sayre functions as a lower division program of higher education in the liberal arts and sciences leading to the Associate in Science degree and career and technical programs leading to the Associate in Applied Science degree.

Western Technology Center - Sayre Campus
The Vocational-Technical school serving the Sayre are is the Western Technology Center in Sayre. Completed in 1995, the Sayre campus offers daytime programs covering areas including Ag related Diesel Truck Repair, Web Design, Cosmetology, Financial Management & Accounting, Health & Theraputic careers, and Administrative & Information Support.
